We have close to 10 preload/air combo jobs at my building but they are all 22.3 classification. They also deliver ground when needed at top driver rate. They posted them using the word Combo.

The 22.4 will probably put a stop to them delivering groundWe have close to 10 preload/air combo jobs at my building but they are all 22.3 classification. They also deliver ground when needed at top driver rate.
Eventually. Depends on how many they can keep. We have already had some quit. All training routes are being used for training 22.4 in January. Unheard of.The 22.4 will probably put a stop to them delivering ground
We are just getting started with them here. We shall see what happens.Eventually. Depends on how many they can keep. We have already had some quit. All training routes are being used for training 22.4 in January. Unheard of.
They are being bid as a combo job? Such as preload/delivery driver? All I have seen is an intent sheet. As far as I know all of 22.4 are off the street hires. Anyone PT with any real seniority had the chance to go driving a couple years ago.We are just getting started with them here. We shall see what happens.
No off the street hires. They are using part time driversThey are being bid as a combo job? Such as preload/delivery driver? All I have seen is an intent sheet. As far as I know all of 22.4 are off the street hires. Anyone PT with any real seniority had the chance to go driving a couple years ago.
What is a PT driver? No off the street hires. They are using part time drivers
They call them Req temps. They make full rate , except they don't get the full time pension contributionsWhat is a PT driver?
We don't have of those. We use air drivers instead. Both 22.3 and PT. No one I have talked to are interested in a 22.4 job. I have tried to warn the PT air drivers that the extra work delivering ground could soon be over. They say they will just risk it.They call them Req temps. They may be on the outside looking inWe don't have of those. We use air drivers instead. Both 22.3 and PT. No one I have talked to are interested in a 22.4 job. I have tried to warn the PT air drivers that the extra work delivering ground could soon be over. They say they will just risk it.
Looking for either a second job or a FT job somewhere else. They may be on the outside looking in
That's the big difference between 22.3&22.4I was told that as a combo driver if I pre-load, which is highly unlikely at my center, I'd still be paid driver rate. And also if I make it as a RPCD I'll top out at like $42/hour at the end of my progression.
At the end of this contract top driver rate at my building will be $40.34/hr.I was told that as a combo driver if I pre-load, which is highly unlikely at my center, I'd still be paid driver rate. And also if I make it as a RPCD I'll top out at like $42/hour at the end of my progression.
Top 22.4 rate will be $34.79 at the end of the contract. That's the big difference between 22.3&22.4
....but Dave said UPS would never do thatNever heard of this. In my building 22.4 are just delivery drivers at a lower pay rate.
For driving and warehouse work. A 22.3 has two different rates. It's not too bad if you have a lot of years in but it sucks if you don't.Top 22.4 rate will be $34.79 at the end of the contract.

Nope. 22.4's work part of their day on the inside and the other part on road. They are NOT FT drivers.
Wrong again as usual. LolGood old Dave.
