Ashli Babbitts Death ruled a homicide

The medical examiner in the nation’s capital released the causes of death for four people who died the day of the siege of Congress on Jan. 6, including Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed by a police officer in the U.S. Capitol, but the cause and manner of death for U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick have yet to be determined.

They seem to be having trouble calling Sicknick a homicide

Cop couldn't have known. She wasn't wearing her white service woman hero sash and medallion when she tried to climb into the Speaker's Lobby wearing a backpack full of unknown contents.
I agree 100%. Putting your gun against a young girls neck from around a corner and pulling the trigger deserves a medal. Let's get this guys name out there, and maybe give him a parade down Pennsylvania Ave.

That's what the medical examiner's office always calls LEO-involved shooting deaths. In the comment section:

"Been working LE as a trooper for 25 years. If a trooper shoots and kills someone in a justified shooting is is always ruled a homicide. They call it "justifiable homicide."
it does not appear to be phrased as justifiable. Maybe they're still investigating

She had at least six police officers standing directly behind her who did not share the same concern. Apparently this police officer was the only one doing his job since no other back pack wearers were shot.

The way they keep hiding and protecting the shooter suggests there was more going on they didn't want made public.
