I just want to make friends!
Yeah. He'd never anticipate something like that.
Isn't this forum amazing? They're making Fred into Rube Goldberg.

What I spend on an attourney is none of your business. How much do you want to pay an attorney to tell you that you are an at-will employee who can be fired or laid off for any reason at all, save for race, sex, national origin, and the other 2 or 3 that are protected by law?
Doesn't matter if he does or not.Yeah. He'd never anticipate something like that.

Like I said, it's none of your business. Man you are one sad little man. You must have sold your soul to the company many years ago.Find the cheapest one you can, because he'll tell you that you're an at-will employee who can be let go at any time. Maybe you can find one who is honest enough to tell you that during the free consultation instead of asking for some money up front and then telling it to you.

The COST is nobody's business.......especially yours. And so far your the only one with the lack of cooth that's been asking. You just don't get it.And for the record, if it's no one else's business, it probably doesn't need to be posted on a public board.

Oh really? I don't care if it was or wasn't and so you think you know all about employment laws and how they vary from state to state? Gee thank you so much for your "expert" opinions. The question was rhetorical. You just don't get it.

Probably, but for someone/something that "never makes mistakes", FedEx sure gets sued a lot (as vantexan pointed-out rhetorically). Why is that? They also lose a lot of lawsuits, or quickly settle out-of-court to avoid paying even more money.
I'll answer for you. It's because FedEx consistently bends and breaks the law. Willfully, and with pre-meditated intent. They deserve every lawsuit they get thrown at them.
It doesn't lose a lot. It doesn't lose many at all because the FedEx lawyers ask for and are often awarded summary judgement. Most lawsuits filed against the company go nowhere.
There's a big difference between being sued a lot and being successfully sued a lot.
Negative, Van that is not what I am saying.
I am saying that as part of the restructuring, many will be told they can stay, but as part time.
Then they will roll out this grand plan like its some miracle sent from the heavens (actually legal) the ability to find employment, ISP, whatever some type of package deal to go to ground and leave express.
It will be sold as your only hope.
It makes Fedex look caring, and avoids mandatory layoffs.[/QUOTE So those employees who are offered parttime employment should be eligible for partial unemployment..I don't think Fred would want that
