Biden Gets the Boot

Was already demonstrated by another poster that the recession started under Carter. Reagan's policies led us out of it. So much so that even Democrats voted in droves for him in '84. You keep saying Republican presidents do horribly. If that were so Reagan would've lost in '84. And Trump did great until the virus hit and it's his policies that would lead us out of this mess. But no, y'all wanted Biden. Good luck with that.
There was a recession under carter in 1980 that ended in 1980 before the election. Again y’all can look this up. But it’s just pretend bs all the time. Carry on

tell that to carter who lost the election due to his recessionary economy.
Smh, not being in a recession doesn’t mean the economy is good, but the economy objectively wasn’t in a recession when Reagan was elected. He didn’t inherit a recession from carter. Another recession started in 1981 after Reagan was inaugurated this is objective reality.

We had wild inflation under Carter. Super high interest rates on mortgages. Foreign policy in shambles. Reagan did a lot more than just lead us out of a recession. He instilled pride in the country. And took on the Soviet Union, ultimately causing them to collapse.

The overriding factor that determines the price of oil and thus gas, from day to day is the market principle of supply and demand. As far as the stock market, over the long run, it tends to perform on average much better during Democratic presidencies than the Republican ones. Look it up.
I'd agree presidents don't control the market or cost of oil. Although I completely disagree with you saying trump hasn't helped make this happen.

Yeah exactly. My point in not posting the facts was in hopes that others would look, and see these posters aren’t honest, just blatant lying over and over again about something that is easy to find and based on objective criteria. The official definition of recessions wasn’t created to hurt either party and the evidence is that the last four Republican presidents have all presided over recessions that they didn’t inherit from their democratic predecessors. But Clinton inherited a rising unemployment rate from GHBush in 1992, Obama inherited a gigantic recession and terrible unemployment from GWBush and Biden will inherit a recession and high unemployment from trump. We keep repeating this same shyt over and over again. republicans are not good for the economy. And as a result of that objective reality, republicans live in a fantasy lie world when it comes to public policy and government it’s just delusions and culture war bs, cause improving the nation isn’t a part of their agenda.

Sorry pal.
It was a bad one.
republicans live in a fantasy world. There was no recession when Reagan was elected. There was a recession in 1980, but it ended in 1980 before the election that doesn’t mean the economy was good, it means the economy wasn’t officially in recession and contracting. And after Reagan was inaugurated another recession started in 1981 and lasted until 1982. You can know this. This isn’t my opinion. This is actual factual knowledge that exists in the world.

Something else exists in the world.
It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job.
It's a depression when you get laid off.

And as Sportello pointed out above that recession under Reagan was due to factors beyond Reagan's control. Doesn't stop you from pinning it on him. Amazing how many Democrats supported Reagan in '84. Different world then.
