Hi Ronald. How are you? Lol.
I ask (I have to) but I don't push. Everyone has their own financial situation. Just because I can give what I do doesn't mean someone else canDo you push United Way on your people?

Their collective intelligence is unparalleled.
A modern day brain-trust with the equivalency of its forerunner, the Manhattan Project.

The whole United Way claim of being able to direct your contributions is bogus. It is a matter of in one pocket and out the other accounting games.
I prefer to donate directly to charities I support.
Please be nice.Is it your game plan to post a whole bunch of crap in just about every thread hoping that at least one of those posts will be accurate? Well, it's not this one.
I donate $30/week through UW to the Hospice of the North Country. UPS pays 15% to cover the admin costs. The correspondence I have received over the years from the Hospice tells me that they have received the full $1,560 each year.

One of the drivers in my center was a big United way supporter (not surprisingly he was also on the safety committee) until he needed help from them for his son and got nothing.
"Until it's time not to be nice"...DaltonPlease be nice.
The hospice will receive the intended amount but donations go to a general fund and if they designate YOUR contributions they can decrease from other sources so the total funding to a particular charity remains the same.Is it your game plan to post a whole bunch of crap in just about every thread hoping that at least one of those posts will be accurate?
