Do you need to work both the day before and the day after a holiday? Here you only need to work one of those days. Although if you call in on Friday your vacation pay would be delayed until the next pay period because they had to wait until you worked the day after before you would be paid.

I said vacation pay but meant holiday pay. Calling in makes no difference for scheduled vacation pay. If you have a holiday next to a vacation you would also automatically get paid for it too.
