I know a lot of nurses and teachers so a lot.

Even then (and I agree this is stupid) many jobs require a 4 year degree. Even if that degree has nothing to do with what you’re doing.

I feel sorry for you if you know a lot of teachers. They all have a screw loose if you ask me. When my wife worked as a waitress at a fancy bar she always said teachers were the worst to wait on and the worst tippers.

I do think there is something very different about teachers. My mom was 1 semester from an accounting degree and the plan was to become a cpa. She gave that up to teach. Like really?


All math and science teachers could make far more money using their skills for other Fields but choose to teach.

So yeah I think there’s something different about teachers but the only real nut jobs I’ve seen are English and art teachers.

Teaching is about the only job they can get with most liberal arts degrees.

Very few teachers make anywhere near that much. I know teachers that make about 1/3 of that.

Most teachers don’t make 80-100k. And even if they do go home early, they’re still working on school stuff at home. Many don’t go home early though. A lot of them do extracurricular things at school.
