Some of the schools here provide children with breakfast, lunch and dinner and also send a backpack with food in it home with kids on Friday for them to have food on weekends.

I didn’t get it. The kids get free breakfast and lunch at school and the mom gets food stamps/SNAP. Why is there no dinner during the week or food in the home on weekends?

Somewhere they are trying to pass a law that basically all you can buy is meat, eggs, veggies, and fruit with assistance money.
Reading the comments I couldn’t believe all of the 1) sympathy “oh they deserve a treat every now and then too blah blah blah. If they want a monster they can work for it.
2) healthy food is expensive. No way I can feed my family on that. First you don’t need 4000 calories to sustain yourself. It wouldn’t kill you to lose a few pounds. Healthy food doesn’t cost that much. Chicken,eggs,rice,cottage cheese,ground beef, beans, etc.
