Yep but at the same time I don't just blame the parents.

My buddy went to a parent teacher conference for one of his daughters. Asked how she is doing in homework. Teacher told him. "We don't grade homework. That's the parents duty to make sure its correct."

Seriously? So pretty much a child is doomed to only be as smart as his parents.

Parents don't need to actually teach their kids as much as impress upon them the importance of education and the need to learn.
