Correct me if I'm wrong @cosmo1 ,but I believe it is actually cooked with ketchup on the top. He refuses to give me his recipe,even though I have asked him countless times.

I just smoke the recipe my wife makes. Meatloaf is meatloaf, and there are hundreds of different recipes.

Ground meat, eggs, breadcrumbs and chopped onion.

Brown it in a skillet, put in a pan, cover with foil at first (just to keep oldngrumpy satisfied) and smoke. You can put ketchup or BBQ sauce on toward the end when you take the foil off, or you can add some juice (beer) to the pan and cook potatoes and carrots at the same thing.

Only time I have ever had a problem with anything dring out is if I had chicken on it and the temp skyrocketing if I wasn't paying attention and left it on 2 long.
