I have no problem with licensed gun ranges having them. You want to shoot something that's fully automatic at a range? Go for it.
It's when we let any Tom, Dick, or Harry buy one just because it's fun that I have a problem. Imagine how many less people could have gotten shot had he not had access to one of those.

The bump stock is purely designed for such a thing. But because someone can fashion something to do the same thing we should just say screw it? The only thing we are doing by allowing them to be sold is making it more convenient for the next jack ass who decides to shoot up a concert, school, airport, etc.

I mean I really don't care about the bump stock but I don't know that banning them makes it harder for anyone to recreate what happened.
It take some practice to learn how to use a bump stock. Same as it takes some practice to learn to shoot that fast without one.

You can pull the trigger almost as fast. Can't aim very well but that is also true of bump stocks.
All the uproar is over a range toy that few shooters even like.
