Everybody is all wound up. I will say I think Holmes is gonna be a stud. And surprisingly acy is really improving.

Tgay even mentioned our safeties are atrocious. Cam Hilton might be the worst safety ever.
I hope they can build on this and win out and beat a good team in a bowl.

That still won't change what should have been or could have been this year.

Mizzou SHOULD be 7-2 ranked top 15 right now and riding a wave to strong recruiting.

Mizzou could realistically be 8-1 with their only loss being to Alabama. Be ranked in the top 10 and be in the playoff discussion.

What either scenario would do for recruiting and the future strength of the program can not be understated.

Instead Mizzou is 5-4 acting like 1 win means they are world beaters and have turned a corner. I'll wait until the end of November to decide if a corner has been turned.

I think the secondary is getting better.

I still think a good qb could torch them for 400 plus yards though.

They need help in the secondary bad. Wether that be starters or depth players. It’s brutal. I think they’re close on turning a corner. But I agree. No reason why they shouldn’t win out and be competitive in a bowl game. But we will see. They still have glaring deficiencies for sure. Next year will be a huge tell on where they’re truly at IMO. Not ready to jump on the Odom is GOAT bandwagon yet.

If I was Ryan Walters I’d plant a :censored2:in stake in the ground with a leash tied to Hilton. It’s embarrassing how bad he is out of position on most of the plays. They just look awful in a zone but they must not trust them enough to run man.

I can handle a man getting beat. It happens to everyone. BAMA corners and safeties get beat.

What's frustrating is when no one is within 7 yards of the guy and our guys are standing around with dumb looks on their faces.

That's why I don't have garbage pickup at my house.
I never know what day it is.
My driveway is 650 feet long.
They will not pickup at my house ... just at the roadside.
I like to recycle anyway so I have different containers.
Smelly stuff gets put in plastic grocery bags and I drop off at the next trashcan I find. About two bags a day.
The rest I take to the Transfer and recycling station a few miles down the road once a month.

If you're going that far into fantasy land, might as well say 9-0.

It's not if you follow the team.

Without a completely bogus defensive pass interference or 1 first down they beat Kentucky.

Don't fail completely in the redzone 3 times or play a prevent defense and they beat South Carolina.

Georgia beat mizzou by 14 but that game could have been much different. @silverbullet2893 went to that game. Mizzou hits open receivers and that game is probably something like 24-3 before Georgia gets loose from the bus ride.

Every advanced ranking tool in country has mizzou ranked top 25 right now. Most of them top 20. They've played the 4th toughest schedule in the country but that's not an excuse for the record being what it is.

In Kentucky game, never should have even gotten that far, with the play calling down the stretch.

So what you're saying that without the lousy play calling, and lousy execution, then they could be a good team? A lot of teams could say that. Lol

If you say half your games they should have won, maybe they aren't as good as you think. There is a reason they are losing them.

Btw, who isn't better than OSU every year. They always suck.
I'm not taking games they lost by 30 and saying they should have won them. I'm taking games that had fluke outcomes and saying if they didn't make boneheaded plays or boneheaded coaching mistakes they win. Literally 1 play. That happens sometimes in football.

Especially when you're a mizzou you don't have the talent to have that margin for error.

Take the 2013 mizzou team that was one quarter from the national championship game. I don't think there was a huge talent gap there compared to this team. Switch out coaches and lose a few of the bounces you got in 2014 and you have this years team who will likely end the year 8-4 instead of 11-1

Umm they are a good team. They could be borderline great.

That's the point i am making. There's a group of fans that really want our current coach to have success. They are using the Florida game to say look we've turned a corner he's our savior.

I'm saying it's one game let's take a look at what his teams have actually done. Some are very happy we play Georgia, SC, and Kentucky close. I'm saying if we actually had a good couch we'd be 7-2 right now with a not so far fetched chance of being 8-1.

FL got a beat down from GA the week before, and weren't playing with the spirit, and tanacity of their real self. Don't read too much into that win.

Meh that is the one thing I'll give the current coach.

Mizzou had every reason to give up on the season. Much more than Florida and they didn't.
