Do you have a sewing machine? Make a bag out of an old sheet or blanket. Not that hard to do.
We were going camping in sub 40’s temps with my 3 year old. I wanted something I knew would keep her warm.

But no. We don’t have a sewing machine.

For some reason we ended up with 3 of them. I even have a heavy duty one that can sew leather out in my workshop that I have used many times. They aren't that expensive for a basic model or if you go to any rummage sales you can find them for 10-20 bucks. The old HEAVY ones are the best--basically indestructible.

Way back when I was backpacking, I sewed about a dozen Frostline kits for my gear.

My wife’s step mom is essentially a seamstress. So never had much need for one but it’s def something that doesn’t hurt to have
