Oh, I know that.
The dealer group I drive for has a Hyundai store, but no Kia stores.
I actually the newer Hyundais. Very solid cars.
Have you driven the Palisade yet?

Which one is the "luxury" brand?Actually, KIA is part of Hyundai. Like Honda and Acura. It seems to be a quality made ride. The interior plastic is still a little hard but whatever, if I wanted the plastic to feel like a freshly tanned ass, I would have bought a luxury car.

I remember the crappy cars they first put out here. My mother had a Hyundai Excel. It resembled a knock off version of a Toyota Corolla and the dash peeled up and the door panels fell off with a good slam. She traded it for a much nicer car, the YUGO, and thankfully I was too young to drive either at the time and one winter, a plow came and totaled her Yugo.Cosmo is right in that when both Hyundai and Kia first started selling here in the states the quality was sub par at best. Both have really stepped up their games. I test drove the Optima before deciding to lease another Altima.

She got an Accord after that.
So then it is not like Acura and Honda. They both have equivalent models, from basic to near-luxury.
I believe, however, that the dealer experience at Kia is worse. YMMV.
How many gigs you have since retirement. That is at least 2, if you are not working, now.My first post retirement gig was as a detailer at a local BMW dealership. I got to drive the 2019 version of this:

Honda Accord---probably the best car I ever owned. I would buy another one tomorrow but the wife buys he own cars now so she picks themI remember the crappy cars they first put out here. Well, Hyundai is but they are the parent company of KIA. I suppose both have sub-luxury cars in their lineup.Which one is the "luxury" brand?

Is the Quoris for gay people? *head down*The Palisade and the Quoris are the premier cars for each maker.

Anything but a VW. VW's are a crap car now.If you want a cheapish car that will run forever, Corolla is the ticket.
As a detailer, Dave, my guess is you got to drive it around the lot. Last year, I picked one up in NJ to bring back here. Only difference was the color.

Just a seasonal thing? or for long term?I worked very briefly for Enterprise before landing the job as a detailer. I would still be there had they not decided to outsource the department------every morning a van pulls up, drops off 2-3 employees and comes back to get them in the afternoon. I suppose it does save them money but from what I have heard the quality has gone downhill. I am currently taking an income tax course through H&R Block and have been hired as a seasonal tax preparer.
Very pretty. It's snowing like crazy right now and the garage is cold so I can't go out and take a picture of hers, but this is the exact same car I bought they call it dark cherry but I think it looks purple.
