A lot of those abandoned houses have squatters cooking meth or trashing the place other ways so the only solution is to burn the place down. The real owners quit paying taxes on them years ago so don't care what goes on there.

About 5 years ago my Township went through the courts and was finally granted permission to clean up one of these PIG PENS. Bring in the big dumpsters and dump trucks. When the dust settled it had cost the Township $17,000 and now to drive by the place it has returned to being a PIG PEN. I don't know what the solution is other than keep your fingers crossed that the owners don't pay any back taxes on the property for 7 years and then the Township would legally own the property -----but I've never seen that happen -- these PIGS are too smart.

Yea, not that bad here but listings are selling fast and sometimes over list price. There is no inventory.
