100% correct bring in outsider to rule over the embers, if business was good Freddy jr, would be in place.
You now have people trying to get rid of the middle class, rich getting richer. Management and contractors try to convince you to make less for the good of the company so it can grow and stay healthy. That’s a lie.
I made 23 bucks an hour in 1991 , I started making 15 in 2010 at FedEx.
Good luck and follow the money

I topped out in 1990 after 23 months. Not long after they stretched it to four years. Eventually 10. Then infinity. Giving us either no raises or 2% raises. I shouldn't have quit but making $13.50hr in Colorado after 4 years no raises broke me.
The most hilarious thing is the new hires actually belive if they hold their breath for a decade they will get their 30 bucks an hour...

Which they won't but let's say they did.. In 10 years 30 will be min wage🤣

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Gosh if socialism is such an evil in your opinion then why haven't you refused to apply for SOCIAL Security and that evil national old age SOCIALIZED healthcare system called Medicare?

The one thing I hear out of MAGA's all the time is how evil publicly funded social programs are because they are well, socialism and it's the other guy collecting benefits who is undeserving of them but the benefits they themselves are collecting under the same programs the same legislation and the same eligibility requirements....well, those are perfectly fine. In their opinion not a thing the matter with them because they are the ones drawing the benefits.

Another clown who willfully overlooked the most important fact of all. Social Security is the only retirement program whose contributions are FEDERALLY INSURED. After watching their private retirement accounts getting hard hit during the Bush Recessions of 1992, 2001 and 2008 there is almost no talk these days about privatizing Social Security.

Well, bacha, you are as consistent as always. If you can't dispute what they're saying, change the subject with a misdirection.

Classic bacha!

What he had to say meant nothing because he chose to leave out what makes SS what it is. FEDERALLY INSURED. Every brokerage house posts the same disclaimer. "These investments can lose money" . A clearly "buyer beware" and goes to great lengths to make the individual understand that it is up to them to decide for themselves if the investment instruments are suitable for their situation and their tolerance for risks and potential losses.

So tell us about that career move.

I have more money in my portfolio than you do. You work for FedEx and being that you’re on here defending the company’s actions tells me I probably make more in a year than you.
On one hand, I don't make any more than some goober like you, and on the other hand I think I'm hot stuff because I have such a fat check compared to the hourlies. If it's any help, I wouldn't do the job I have now if it didn't pay any better than RTD pay. And I can do it in my pajamas much of the time.

I was just stating a fact. Quit your whining!

That's great. However there are a lot of courier positions and a lot less of the ones you have. And a lot of us aren't interested in moving up the ladder. Yeah, I know, we would then have to be satisfied with what we get. The company made a lot of promises to keep us at it. Never expected them to give me UPS pay. But when after 10 years they started giving 2% raises to those of us in midrange while giving topped out couriers 3% raises on higher pay, watched any hope of ever catching top out sail away. 10,11,12 or more years with the company and not making much more than starting pay while top out was $6hr more and getting further away. There are plenty of reasons why people on here are very angry. All this was done so that they could build up Ground to make themselves richer. Couriers, CSA's too, were only to be used as a means to that end. Our future, important to us, didn't matter to them. This is an outfit that uses people. A far cry from the company I started with but hindsight being 20/20 I think all the benefits and better pay structure at that time was just to lure quality people in to build the brand. I'm glad it worked for you but please remember courier work is the foundation of this company. Taking care of the people who take care of you used to be a guiding principle. Now it's dog eat dog and if you don't like it go work at McDonald's. Pretty sad.

Welcome to the post Neutron Jack, Ronnie Reagan, Lewis Powell economy, Mr. VT.

I suppose my salutation is a bit belated, as everything you cited in your post should have been readily apparent by the end of the 80’s,

The global/trickle down economy has been in place for decades and there’s no point in crying over spilt milk.

Shouldn’t you have gotten over your career choices by now?

See, my posts bring out the best in you. Sadly the best in you is nothing to shout about. 😁

If I’m “nothing to shout about it” you would probably be someone to watch in speechless horror based on your own descriptions of your personal relationships, financial management skills, and general decision making acumen.
