Perfect fit.

Via Chicago Tribune:
Disgraced former U.S. Rep. Mel Reynolds said he will ask voters to focus on his congressional experience rather than his state and federal criminal record as he announced his bid today for the seat held by Jesse Jackson Jr., who has resigned.

At a downtown hotel news conference, Reynolds acknowledged having made “mistakes” in the past. For his campaign, he will try to assume the mantle of an incumbent while also seeking redemption from voters. Red and white campaign signs urged voters to “re-elect” Reynolds “so he can finish the work” while another stark red sign with white letters said simply: “Redemption.”

Reynolds held the 2nd Congressional District seat from 1993 until October 1995, when a Cook County jury convicted him of several sex-related charges, including having sex with an underage volunteer campaign worker. While serving time in state prison, Reynolds also was convicted on federal financial and campaign fraud charges. President Bill Clinton commuted Reynolds’ sentence to time served in 2001.

Under law, Reynolds, formerly a South Side resident who is now renting in Dolton, no longer has to register as a sex offender.

Reynolds sought to downplay his previous convictions, contending “it was almost 18, 20 years ago” and that his past crimes “shouldn’t be a life sentence.”

“The fact of the matter is, nobody’s perfect,” Reynolds said, adding that voters should “look at the entire history of me,” including what people do “after they make mistakes.” Reynolds, however, stopped short of acknowledging guilt for any of his crimes.

It’s almost like liberals have no clue how to manage money.

Via Boston Globe:
Elizabeth Warren raised a whopping $42 million for her Senate race — more than any other congressional candidate in the country. Yet the noted scholar on the root causes of debt and bankruptcy made a surprising admission on Wednesday: she needs a little help paying her bills.

In an e-mail to supporters, the senator-elect from Massachusetts revealed that her campaign is in debt and asked for donations to help her out of the hole. Though she did not disclose the sum in her e-mail, a campaign official said Warren owes $400,000.

So how did a record fund-raiser end up in red ink?

Warren’s academic research has demonstrated that personal bankruptcy often stems from job loss, divorce, and catastrophic illness. In the case of her campaign, she is blaming pepperoni and mushrooms.

Gov. Nikki Haley Makes It Official, Tim Scott Next South Carolina Senator – Left Spews Racist Venom…

A Republican female governor of Indian descent appointing a Republican black man to serve in the Senate, but don’t worry, we’re still a racist party or something. But unlike the Dems, at the end of the day we don’t care what the color of their skin is.

Via CBS News:
South Carolina Rep. Tim Scott, R-S.C., has been appointed by Republican Gov. Nikki Haley to the Senate seat now held by Republican Jim DeMint. DeMint is leaving the Senate at the end of the year to run the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation.

“He is the right person,” she said. She pointed to his strong relationship with the business community and the “courage” he showed during a fight with the unions and the National Labor Relations Board during a recent effort to move Boeing factories to the state.

Scott will be the first African-American Republican in the Senate since former Sen. Edward Brooke, R-Mass., lost his bid for reelection in 1978. The 47-year-old, who won a second House term last month, was the first black Republican to represent South Carolina in the House in more than a century.

With DeMint and Scott standing at her side, Haley called the appointment “historic.”
“As a minority female, it is important to note that Congressman Scott earned this seat,” Haley said.

J. David Woodard, political science professor at Clemson University, said Scott can be “a real vehicle for conservatives to reach into the African American community” following an election in which Republicans fared badly among minority groups.

Like DeMint, Scott is a tea party-backed conservative who sought repeal of the national health care law. A vocal critic of President Obama, he has said it would be “an impeachable offense” if Mr. Obama raised the debt ceiling without congressional approval.

Make up your mind, -----!! You are, you aren't, you wish you were, you're a wannabe.......what is it ?

Wait, I thought she was “proud” of her ancestry?

Via Boston Herald:
Despite repeated claims she is “proud” of her Cherokee heritage, newly minted U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren is keeping that pride under wraps and won’t be taking advantage of a chance to officially list herself as the Bay State’s first Native American U.S. senator.
Aides said Warren, who describes herself as part Cherokee and part Delaware Indian, won’t contact historians at the Senate Historical Office to tell them she’s Native American. The office lists minority senators in its official directory.
Warren’s aides refused further comment, but Betty Koed, an associate historian at the Senate Historical Office, said, “If her office wants to call and have her listed, we’d be happy to do so.”

The office’s running tally of African American, Asian, Hispanic and Native American senators is based on the senators’ biographies and self-identification. Despite the extensive reporting of Warren’s claims of her Native American heritage during last year’s campaign. Koed said the senator is not being listed because she didn’t self-identify.

Another BENGAZI hearing in front of congress, and once again, another waste of taxpayer money and time. NOTHING was acomplished with these hearings.

No smoking guns, no "ah ha' moments, nothing of any substance.

The republicans have drugged this issue out long enough. Month after month of bravo and hearing after hearing, and nothing new comes to life.

Stupid questions and answers that make them STFU.

2014 cant come soon enough, but it will be great to get rid of the GOP control of the house.

That sounds like an articulate, concise and intelligent statement. Now tell me what was discovered in these Bengazi hearings that is different than the day the event happened?

Who is in trouble?

Oh wait, NOBODY.
