Someone has to pay for the tax reduction......later down the road that guy who wanted the extra $40 a paycheck for his daughter's pizza party will actually get less in medicare down the road to pay for that $40 now. The Dems never seem to want to pay for anything....just blindly spend like there's no tomorrow.

Its PATHETIC when people like YOU want to pretend (to yourself) that you are dealing with facts when in fact, youre not really close to the facts.

OBAMA and REID also wanted a years extention. Both said so clearly back in september, october november and december.

What they didnt ask for was a cut in funding to the EPA, a cut in the unemployment weeks, an INCREASE in defense spending for the pentagon, and other policy riders that were NOT paid for in the house bill.

Why not deal in reality moreluck, instead of some talking points you heard on television? You may gain some respect, but dont count on it.

Maybe the PEOPLE can do the math that you cant? First of all, its a little more than 161 but im not going to argue pennies. Second, the "whatever" will go up once the extention is finalized in february. That total will be $1000.00

Well I am not favor of socialism, but whatever this small group of people probably 0.01% of the population got really wealthy through this process(stealing), I want them to be in court and get it back to the people who they stole it from in the past close to 100 years.
As for benefits, anybody who thinks the government (most dems and reps) will pay the current benefits in the future is out of their mind... People don't like to hear cuts, but there will be a time when politicians have to face the reality. The bottom line doesn't matter which party you choose they promise you everything to get elected and kick the can down on the road, but what happens when the road ends?

Why should YOU be so special. As a senior, you should PAY 100% of your healthcare costs without goverment assistance. Once your husbands coverage runs out, you should shoulder the burden of healthcare 100% on your own.

While your at it, you should send back your social security check to the goverment and include a note saying "please use this check to pay down the debts incurred by the republican party"

Then you would be a true conservative.
