My TV is 10 years old. My car is almost 20. I'll splurge on the annual vacation and occasional weekend trip. I've got some nice gadgets here and there, but right now I'm watching my money grow.

In my center, some like to tease newer drivers by showing off their checks; some drivers complain about living paycheck to paycheck; some are on child support; A LOT like to show off what they have in the parking lot. So drivers, what do you do with all your money?

Put 20% in your 401k every week. That sure worked well for me.

I live in socal so I feel you , but into motorcycles now . I charge hobbies every couple of years to try new things

Last year, during Memorial Day weekend, I flew out to LA, bought a motorcycle and rode it home. It was fantastic. Spent a week on the road.

That's kind of been my goal. Been puttig 10% a week to my 401k since i made book. I'm sure expenses will increase as i get older and buy a house and what not.

I won't disagree (I have done great myself) but in 2008 everybody who was in the market took a big hit. If you stayed in you recovered.
