They also used to be certified here to give you the test. The problem was that the BMV started wanting the UPS certified instructors to also test other company's drivers.

So they stopped that here 15 years ago. Now we have to go to the BMV.

Yea, it was almost a sure thing to pass.

I know quite a few drivers that failed it the first time now that we have to go to the BMV.

In my state MI you go to the Secretary of State office and take the written test and get your learner's permit. Then after you are trained you have to go to a third party tester and pay for your test.
