First year driver finding drama

So anyone who doesn't work at your pace is a slug? Now who is talking down to who? If you want to work fast then go right ahead but don't tell us who work at a career maintainable pace that we are slugs!!

Career maintainable pace? Don't make me laugh, Wilson.
It is just amazing how you think you know more than people who have done the job for 30+ years.

Do you think we were never rookies? We were in your position! I had a virtual time study which completely changed the time allowance on my route because I was running so much bonus. You will learn .... maybe.

I’ve got nothing for you, man. That’s great, glad you made it. Times are changing regardless of whatever we do now. I’m going to get mine now, take pride in my work (like all of you do) and not judge how others manage their days (even though Wilson pointed out earlier I came off judgy, didn’t mean to!).

You won’t find any sympathy here. All these old guys are slow as :censored2: for one reason or another. Don’t let them intimidate you! They call you a runner? Shrug it off and remember... you’re paying for their retirement. High productivity means more work. If you’re in a bonus center and you’re motivated, role that work up and stick it in your pocket as overtime and bonus pay. Take care of yourself, my friend. Remember, you’re a wolf out there, asked to do what most wont do or can’t!
This crap makes me laugh! How would a child know anything about how to “take care of yourself, my friend”? We are trying to help you here.

I have 32 yrs in total, with 7 part-time and 25 full-time at UPS. I added my pay from UPS over that time off my social security statement and I have made $1,905,000 from UPS so far. It isn’t a sprint kid, it is a marathon.

Guys like you come and go, you’ll be remembered as the example I give to the younger guys on why you don’t run and gun.

There is no one here that has 20+ years that is a runner gunner. We actually had one guy about 5 years ago that was like that, he got injured, both knees had surgery and never came back.

Keep on keep’n on, like you said, you’re paying for my retirement.

We got one that's 30+ years smokes his route everyday and he is a 25 year safe driver

The same holds true in feeder. A relief driver would do my run in 30-60 minutes faster. management knew better to say anything about it to me but i would hear about from my meet driver.

ya, he would complain when i came back to work. he would give me an earfull

complain about how the relief driver put the heavier trailer in the back,or brought him a bad tire ,or a balloon in air line, or grease on the dolly airlines, or missing or inaccurate paperwork , expired inspection sticker on trailer or dolly , low or no oil in one of the wheel hubs, lights that were out or covers missing . it seemed like it was always something and he was glad I was back.

almost any feeder driver can tell you the same story if he/she has a meeting place with the same driver to switch trailers on long runs.

I could “smoke” my route, but what do you gain by that? So you drive like an idiot and throw stuff on porches, I am an adult man who works at a pace that I am comfortable with. As soon as you show them that you will work as fast as you can ... THEY OWN YOU!

Great, man! Glad that works for you. I bet you’re great. Wish you could be happy for me too. But it’s ok.

You'll collect another million in your healthy retirement also. ( at least )

Im not a runner gunner but i do work fast, I know about 35 routes in our center and do seem to get abused on occasion. Ill get more stops than the bid driver most of the time while covering.

I follow the methods, you dont have to run if you work smart and are organized.
