Nope. There is no such thing as a trickle-down economic theory. I don't know that there is any economist in the last 200 years who has presented or advocated a trickle-down theory. Maybe there's one who believes it. You certainly seem to think so.

I can understand your concern, without two parents in the home to teach their children to read, it does place a burden on elderly retirees to do the parents job.
My son has 32 kids in his class. That's ridiculous. I couldn't tell you how many are single parent homes.

We have needs in this country that the older generations can help fill.
