Starting wage is a waste of time.
You will have a target on your back because you still make the big money.
New hires will top out at say $25 an hour while you will be over $40 at the end of this contract.
Is this an actual proposal? Last I checked (which was yesterday) UPS didn't put forth an initial proposal.

We know you are.

There are already members that work a Sun-Thur schedule.

Where have you been ?

2 tier wages coming soon?

Where have you been? Two tier wages are already in place. 30+ years and counting!

38 years.... to be precise. ;)

I would really like 2 see a wage increase for the PTers .......so we could keep the good ones ....

Absolutely.

Automated Hubs (not buildings or centers) are not the "cure all".

There is a workforce available.

But, the company is going to have to "sweeten the pot" to attract them.

If.... that's really what they want.

It's pretty good entertainment when they lose a phase in their power supply.
Humans keep on working.
Machines (3 phase) take a "smoke" break if it's not caught immediately.

While you whine about contract concessions....

There is this:

"(2) Long-term disability benefits will equal sixty percent (60%) of the employee’s base weekly pay to a maximum of six hundred dollars ($600) per week for up to five (5) years. Long-term disability benefits begin when short-term disability coverage ends or after twenty-six (26) weeks from date of disability, whichever is later. The six hundred dollars ($600) cap shall be increased to seven hundred dollars ($700) effective January 1, 2014 and the eight hundred dollars ($800) on January 1, 2017."

Walk it back, Truck Driver.
