So you desire to stay ignorant of the fact that almost every Socialist movement gets hijacked by a Authoritarian Socialist or Fascist leader or group?
Socialism is based on Centralization of the Government and making it easy for strong authoritarian groups to use that centralization to enable take over of the government.

USSR
China
Cuba
Venezuela

italy has 25,000 cooperatives, with varying degrees of socialism. im sure the govt hasnt hijacked / infiltrated them all

Oh so you don’t vote for socialist government officials to cram down your socialist world views on the world. You just want private citizens to engage is socialist behavior by their own free will.

That’s completely fine in a free society Ricky, but we all know that isn’t your true political view.

when you vote thats called democracy. maybe you are a more civilized country which has proporational representation vs a winner takes all system as seen in the presidency for example or canada. you can vote for trump and he will cram down his worldviews on the population and in the case of american imperialism the world.

and you are not a free society anyways.

I’m not offended by the Quran. Not in the least. And I make fun of you for taking selective writings so that you can deem it racist. Slave owners used to do the same with the Bible in order to justify the belief that blacks to be inferior.
Whatever. didnt read

Do you think Trump is an authoritarian?
Well in my lifetime these are the Authoritarian Presidents ...
Eisenhower - Yep! Definitely.
Kennedy - Absolutely!
Johnson - No doubt!
Nixon - Hell Yeah!
Ford - Not so sure?
Carter - Absolutely! As with Obama, he thought he could just tell others what to do.
Reagan - For sure, but middle of the road!
Bush Sr - Yes and from an administrative POV.
Clinton - Very forceful but knew when to compromise and negotiate. My Fav President of my lifetime ... so far.
Bush Jr - Very strong and assured authoritarian
Obama - IMO, the most Authoritarian President ... also see Carter.
Trump - Very definitely ... right there with Obama ... don't see Carter!
Biden - So far, very authoritarian and erecting a very Centralized US Government.
If Trump were a socialist, would he therefore succeed?
Any of the last three Presidents would succumb to the power of a much stronger Executive branch!

they are not advocating for their own destruction. you need ot grow up.

they are advocating for justice, peace and freedom, not continued israeli occupation and state terrorism.

i dunno does he sound jewish lol

joe sacco's classic footnotes from gaza is a comic i believe you'd enjoy that since ur probably mostly illiterate.
I don't know what growing up has to do with anything....I'm grown.

Justice, peace blah blah.....yeah at the obliteration of the Jewish race. Grow up? You need to pay attention.

Illiterate? Please prove this statement. You don't know me. And I've demonstrated being able to decipher your lack of capitalization and lack of punctuation that seemingly......is of a 15 year old....grow up.

Could it be that Clinton, as it was with Obama, the hopes of his backers was dashed by the height of their expectations?
Both still had a job to do which they did with decent results but fell short of voters expecting transformational change.
Ironically, Biden which no one expected to do much, is implementing transformational change.

I think the reason for that is that Biden has lost faith in Jeffersonian democracy. I’m not sure he’s wrong. As far as politics goes with the two party system, we’re looking more and more like a parliamentary system which of course will bring claims of autocracy.

You mean the power behind the throne is implementing transformational change. Biden is the rubber stamp.

clinton and obama are neo liberals so they play lip service to reform for working class, but in reality pursue none of it. clinton was a disaster, i think he was on par with bribes with his republican opponent, obama actually took more bribes than mccain. clinton pushed the democrats to the right, so republicans had no where to go but further right.

Costs to the taxpayers for golf outings in the first 41 days of their presidency:

Bush 41: $0
Obama: $0
Trump: $578,640
Biden: $0

And let’s not forget that most of that money went directly into Trump’s pocket since he realized early that he could ding the taxpayers for his week-end forays to his own properties. The man never left a penny on the sidewalk.

biden, clinton and obama are the old centers and they are not holding because they sold out starting with clinton. so biden may be the last gasp of neoliberalism before you get either a relatively far left wing or far right winger come to power. i was listening to chomsky again and i think he said democrats sold out in the 1970s.
