281 stops, 391 pieces, 3 pickups for a total of 60 pkgs, hour lunch, done by 22:10. ORS tried to bust my balls about numbers. I held up my summary screen, laughed in his face, dopped off my COD envelopes and left.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
Is anyone else getting these 12 Noon commit Premium service packages? I had two today but they are loaded into the truck with normal PAL labels. A pain in the ass to find 12 o clock commits that are loaded into the 5000 and 7000 shelf of a bricked out truck.
They’re meds I told the sups about these a number of times. Nope only early am has a commit they swear. Ok whatever.

Yes, I know I'm working late.

I have one somewhere on my route every day. I just break and deliver it. I'm sure some sales rep made a deal with the shipper to keep that volume. Good thing is, I made a deal with ups. If I work, they agree to pay me.

Our center been babying new guys like crazy for over a year now, they show up and cry when they have a 9 hour planned day. I show up and have a 10 and think, “not bad at all”. I’m used to having someone run the rest of the stuff out to me that wouldn’t fit during peak.
I am so looking forward to the shuttle bringing me 120 stops at 1800. 😒

We were told they MUST be delivered by noon. Really :censored2:s up your Orion solution especially if its on the fringes of your route. I've had 2 so far and they've both been grounds. Grounds. With a 12 noon commit.

At least they told you something, I just had one pop up on my board and thought, “wtf is this”.

We were told that the commit time on those is bogus and deliver them in trace. Mine have all been delivered after the 1-12 window and it hasn’t even prompted me for a late air reason.

8 and skate yesterday for me: 143 deliveries ~300 pieces 53 miles. Light for the entire center, only 2 out of 60-plus routes dispatched over 200 stops. Had a look at my records from last peak. Granted, I was on a different route in a wealthier area, but was averaging 230 stops a day the first week of December last year.

Its been a reasonable week. Management seems to have finally understood that many of us veterans aren't going to run and cut corners to get more done. Finally cutting area down to make sure I get back in 9.5-10 hrs.

Is your center light or is it because they hadn't picked up large retailers yet and/or you have a ton of PVDs running most the residential volume?

The combination of UPS capping major shippers and having hired a lot of extra drivers and PVDs makes it appear as if we are super light. What I fear happening is an unexpected super surge of orders coming in behind volume that has been capped and UPS scrambling to get it all processed by Christmas. If that happens my center will definitely not have enough people to deliver at all. We may be working pre-2014 peak hours. And management letting super seniority drivers work preload every day will finally catch up and bite them in the asses as they all run out of hours.

Based on second-handed info we've yet to pick up certain retailers this week. There are several PVDs but none in my loop. I've only lost a small amount of area -- to another RPCD whose route is tighter, closer to the bldg, and who agreed to take a helper (I didn't, much to the chagrin of my on-car and center mgr who've questioned me about it several times now haha ... "Why not?!" "You know why." "Because of Covid?" "Bingo." I don't say "Mainly because you will have to give me a lighter dispatch and I find helpers distracting, even when they are helpful." :wink2:) Clearly a lot remains to be seen, but ... it's been an odd and pleasant start to peak.

AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE
We left the building on time yesterday. I would have made 9.5 if not for some construction I’m dealing with right now on the rural part of my route
Just got a text from my preloader and they are done waiting on air right now (west coast). Sent me a picture of him walking THROUGH my p6
The hell is going on??

Our PVD are running a crazy amount of volume. 5x as many of them as we had last year.
My loop is usually a 4 route loop. Right now we have 5 routes in with 3 pvds. And my center has been cutting stops off of all our routes in the am to give to the pvds with their own dispatch. They have been finishing around 3-4 then somebody comes and gets 15-20 more off of me
Smooth, smooth sailing so far man
