I hope you are being factitious. Or we just have wildly differing ideas on what a reputable car is...You can get a 2016 Ford Escape with 50k miles for half that. Maybe that's not a reputable car to you, but to many people that car would be dynamite.
Find me a 2016 with only 50K miles. And Ford Escapes are garbage. I’m talking about a dependable vehicle that you only need to gas and go and change the oil without something breaking down on you within a year. I hope YOURE being facetious. I think I’ll take a vehicle still under factory warranty but maybe I’m just being frivolous and irresponsible.

They’re trash. We won’t argue on that. Cheap out on your vehicle and you will find you pay more for upkeep.
I’ve never paid $30,000 for a vehicle and I’ve had pretty good luck. Actually I just bought my wife a 2011 CTS with 52,000 miles on it for $8500. Cash

I find them completely unattractive vehicles, but sufficient
Get you a slightly older V8 pickup and she will make your money back. That’s all I have on the topic and I’m not willing to die on this hill. If you know, you know.

I have a 2003 Silverado SS with a 6 L that I’ve owned since 2005 doesn’t even have 100,000 miles on it, love it

I have a 2014 Silverado LTS V8 with over 100K miles that still runs like new because I’m the sole owner with regular checkups. This is the exception, not the rule.

I’ve had good luck with the LS engines in Chevys. We also have a 2008 Tahoe with 170k miles not a single problem with it. I do all my own routine maintenance. Ford on the other hand is another story..

Funny thing the best car in the fleet is now my youngest daughters car a 2002 Corolla that every kid has driven back-and-forth to high school it’s approaching 240,000 miles only thing I’ve ever done to it is brakes, oil changes, and tires L O L that thing is a tank

Ford sucks. Wife has a 2019 LS Tahoe with 80K miles. The battery is all I’ve had to change. V8’s are good for 300K as long as you keep up. That’s all I’m saying. That Escort might get you 150 before it starts breaking down.

I think you meant escape because the escort might’ve got your 80,000 miles if you were lucky I remember those stupid things

Toyotas are different. I’ve seen a Tacoma with over 400K still running.
