Is it true?...

Is it true that under some local and/or regional supplements drivers get any of the following:

All paid:
-6 weeks paid vacation (30 days)
-plus 5 optional holidays (5 days)
-plus 1 floating holiday (1 day)
-plus 6 sick days (6 days); bankable
in addition to regular paid holidays?

Some pensions pay out:
$4,000 a month
$5,000 a month
$6,000 a month???

Over the standard $34.39 for full scale package?

More than 20 minutes of paid break per day?

Overtime rates of more than time and 1/2 or additional paid break after 10 or 11 hours worked?

Double time, rather than time and 1/2 for Saturday work/6th shift?

All that but 4 floating holidays, and 7 sick days.

And 30 minutes of paid breaks a day.

The information is on websites...so yes some supplements do have those kinds of benefits. What is your real question?

Sounds about right, had no idea the pension payouts were that big though, good lord that will be a huge help in our retired life.

Well then the Central supplement is completely sub standard.

As a 30 year driver:
You get 46 paid days (at 25+ years)...Ours; 37 excluding regular holidays.
You get 30 paid minutes per day.........Ours; 20
You get over $34.39 .........................Ours;$34.39
You probably get far more per month in pension (but ours already was bought out because it was in such bad shape)
You perhaps get double time rather than time and 1/2 for Saturday work
Some get an additional paid break or double time after 1+ hours, we do not

FedEx workers should post this up and stare at it every time they vote down their union.

That will all start ending little by little, next contract is gonna be interesting.

Only think the company will go after is healthcare. The good news for us workers is UPS has pissed us off so much in the past that we will not let them take a dime. IMO healthcare could cause a strike and I don't know about you guys but I would walk in a heartbeat over it.

They did in the last contract, that is why we have Teamcare. We now have defined contribution healthcare. If premiums go up more than UPS agreed to pay, then we will have a copay.

The next contract will be 2-tiered.

They won't get two tier. The union won't let that happen as it would cut their revenue in dues as well.

Sub-standard, in comparison to what ? Other regional (or Local) supplements ???

How can you even begin.... to compare agreements ?

Is it all about the money ?

Next thing you know....

"Certain people" will complain about the FedEx benefits.

That’s Craptacular
In my local after 25 yrs you'd get:
6weeks vacation
5 optional days
5 sick days
And 1 floating holiday...paid as holiday pay If you take the day. If you choose to work your floating holiday, you are paid at double time for all hours worked.
Plus the standard 8 paid holidays a year.

Sub-standard monetary compensation compared to other regional and/or local supplements.

Plus in the Central we suffered for decades with excessive overtime filing grievance after grievance without resolution or compensation while others were paid.
Thankfully, only recently, that has changed.

We have always received far less in pension contributions/benefits than other areas.

So what did/does the central region supplement have to make up for the financial disparities, and less time off? Is our language superior in other areas of the contract? Make your case if you want to allude to the supplements not being comparable.

Yep every supplement is different. Right now I am at 14 years with the company and I get 3 weeks vacation, 5 sick and 5 personal days. And everything over 8 is time and half. 6th day punches are time and a half all day.
