No gray area here in my center. We are required to take a full hour lunch. Progressive discipline if you don’t.
Our sups would remind you that driving while clocked out for lunch is falsifying/dishonesty and then send you back out.
I would hope not. That would be even dumber than coding lunch during drive time.I never punched out before I completed my turn in.
What a Joe Union. Lol.I never punched out before I completed my turn in.
No, our lunch breaks are unpaid. You sit there...off the clock, making $0 and getting home later. That means you donated time you worked..... what a fool.

So go sit in the truck and eat?In Florida, all those areas are shut down. Take out orders only, no dining in anywhere. Doesn't matter who you are unless you're an employee of the store, you get your food and go. You cannot stay inside due to statewide mandates.
They take it out of you still. At least they do here. No, our lunch breaks are unpaid. You sit there...off the clock, making $0 and getting home later.
Thanks for everything that you did to help out. Lol.Would you work through lunch at any other job?
I will admit that while I always took my lunch and break I rarely took them as outlined in the contract. I lived on my route and was in that part of time later in the day so I took my meal break then. It also worked out well for my route as it was a natural break between deliveries and pickups.

I can't take credit for that. But enjoy it while it lasts. That may end before the Corona Virus. Thanks for ensuring that my pension check still shows up on the 1st of the month.
Nope, I'd grieve that. It's illegal to tamper with my timecard...or for an employer to force you to work while on break. The 2 years before I stopped taking it all together, my previous boss let me take my break on my drive home. I've been a satellite driver and didn't have to turn in my diad. They take it out of you still. At least they do here.
Any time I can avoid being at work, unpaid, I have. Every job I've ever had.Would you work through lunch at any other job?

Never had to, show them your detailed timecard record keeping a couple times and they don't mess with it.Good luck with that grievance.
I'm not sure I'm runner gunner, but I do work as best as I can and it does create a lot more hassle for me.I was a runner/gunner but even I knew that if mgt knew that I was willing to work through my lunch that they would be willing (and eager) to give me an add/cut on a daily basis.
Yes....So go sit in the truck and eat?

It's against the law.Good luck with that grievance.
