That's the point, well actually not the point of this thread, but. Disability used to be for those who could not work through no fault of their own. I know somewhere along the way fat, alcoholics, drug abusers, mental illnesses, all became disabilities, and you can get a check.
I also know people who have manic depression, and get a check. I also know ones who worked their entire lives with the disease. I know people on ssi who never even tried.
I know people who waited "too" long to apply, after a serious illness, because they wanted to go back and by the time they applied, they were no longer eligible. I .guess its called personal responsibility.
If I know someone needs it, I will help then apply. Soon those of us who may need it someday, wont get it as they will tell us we can find something. Its not a good system, the way it is set up, It will implode under the abuse.

This thread has been all over the place.
Tooner touched on this. There will always be people that for some reason or other, enjoy getting something for nothing.
I have never been this way,as I see most of you agree.
This smoking thing at ups has me scratching my head a bit.
Obviously they are trying to save money, but what's next?
23 years ago I had to have a physical,to ensure I was fit to be a ups driver.
Now what? A blood test and an MRI?
Maybe a lineup at the PCM,smell the breath?
Jeesh.
