Marijuana the legalization of it?

How many? I have not heard of any jobs cut in washington. I think they have added some enforcement jobs. Dr. Phil once said legally smoking marijuana doesn't change what it does to your brain.
Hard to say with the way states report their numbers.

Federally, we're talking 5-10% of all prisoners. So 10-20 thousand people just in federal prisons alone.

When it comes to police departments that are already bare bones and have less officers than they should, it's less about the jobs than it is the money. Think federal grants and asset forfeiture.

The Monroe, Wa. prison is always hiring. It's my understanding that prisons are over crouded.

Not exactly sarcasm, just laying down the facts.
I'm all for bringing down the system, but we need to be real about what we're up against. If there weren't powerful forces and tons of money to be "made" (stolen from the taxpayers), a failed policy like the drug war wouldn't have lasted this long.

It's only a matter of time for marijuana, as long as people keep up the fight.

When it comes to dangerous drugs though, we also have an uphill battle. The system we have doesn't work for them either.

I feel like you're being coy.

You know as well as I do that the prison-lobbyists have done their level best to influence policy so the jails are filled...$$$

However, there's ample evidence that it's not working...OK, we wound this top up, now let's let it spin down.

Unfortunately monied interests don't agree, but we're the tax-payers.

Raise your tax-paying voice.

How?

Great question.

Just like Drumpf's racist comments will get him some votes as well.;)

actually my response was a positive about the bern. lot of us out there that think the pot laws need to go.

notice I didn't try to find a derogatory version of Bernie's name? if your argument for or against the candidate is solid then making fun of his name does not add anything to the discussion.

There was actually a news story this morning that said Trump's present name was changed from Drumpf years ago. Don't know if that's true, but that's where Makaveli got that name.......he couldn't make up one by himself!
