i think its better to influence local politics. but its good to pay attention to whats going on around the world politically. EU countries have been voting in their own far left or far right wing parties for a few years now, which was a preview of what happened to US with trump and bernie.

I believe Seattle has a provision for companies who offer benefits have a lower min wage.

The people advocating for increasing the minimum wage (by several dollars mind you) are the same people who wanted higher taxes in Seattle. Kind of funny. It'd be smart for those seeking a lower living cost to roomshare, commute to a job in Seattle from a different city or move entirely. Keep in mind the higher minimum wage STILL isn't enough to live there..on your own.

Ok, the entire city of Seattle as a whole increases taxes quite often. Seems like the only ones noticing what it's doing are the ones suffering enough to ask "what the hell is going on?" and people on the "right".

It's expensive because it's on the WEST COAST and a major metropolitan area. It's like that from Seattle all the way down to San Diego. Go travel and find out for yourself. It's called supply and demand.
