Need Radio Advice

I made a radio/cb box out of a tool box. Turned out nice, except I cannot get radio to play, I used a factory radio/cassette player out of a 2000 Buick Century I had (2 years used). I bought a reverse hookup harness, and wired it correctly. Does anybody know if there is some secret to make the radio play?

It`s fairly simple. If it`s getting power correctly it should play. Does the faceplate light up or is it completely dead? One thing about GM radios is they had a anti-theft design that required a code to be entered if it had been removed from the car and then re-installed.
