I always asked for more work, because for my pension was based on hours worked per year (1800).
Roughly it worked out to having a steady 35 hours a week.
If I was on Vacation and was around I'd work Saturdays, too.
Every hour counted.
Most of my P/T time was counted as full pension credit years and along with my short time as a friend/T, I ended up with a sizable pension.
