Just heard from training supervisor that all the new hires will no longer receive bonus. Scary thing is they also are telling the new hires they will be getting 13 hour after August 1st. How is that possible contract not even out to vote yet. Can ups raise rate to 13 to retain all people getting the bonus. Most will quit after not getting bonus after 2 weeks. Good thing is most people getting bonus are yes votes if they vote at all.

UPS can do whatever they want? Pay you to leave union? Pay a crossing picket line bonus? Pay one driver 75 an hour? Pay drivers bonus even after they vote bonus down in a center? The union screwed up by not putting foot down on that bonus crap, very bad precedent.

UPS won't move below $13/hr for new PT hires no matter what the Contract outcome as they have to move to to that for anyone to want to work for the Company. Especially in a good economy.

New hires (and everybody else) will receive retroactive pay in their paychecks upon Contract passage to cover the difference. So UPS is technically correct that new hires will be making at least $13/hr, even if it's not paid immediately.

New hires in my building are making $15 an hour right now so yeah they can certainly do $13 an hour if they want without a new contract being up.

Yeah they will eventually get the retro check but to keep them they might just start paying them off the bat. They are bringing in a ton of new hires everyday because the same amount quit. And none will stay for 10.35 if they were getting a bonus that made it around 15$ a hour
