what about the helpers you get during peak who have never been anywhere near ups or a truck.
no....i cant get you a full time job after christmas
yes.... i will tell my boss you did an incredible job but it wont do any good.
no... i cant let you drive to the next stop( this actually happened)
no... we do not have the time to stop and socialize with every person we deliver to.
yes... that is as high as the heater goes.
yes... it sucks when it snows, and rains and is hot as haities

Actually, I have had 3 of my helpers hired as a result of their hard work. Driver input does come in to play when they evaluate helpers for possible hire.
