I am old enough to recall the Carter administration and gas lines. We declared we would be free from foreign oil in the late 70's. Guess what we are not. Granted we are producing more oil that ever before but we are using that amount and then some.

With less than 5% of the world’s population, the US consumes 25% of the world’s oil production.

I agree technology is replacing the labor force. I don't have any doubt in my mind that packages will be delivered by UAV's or drones one day in the not too distant future.

Just look at the technology advances in the last 10 years.

As far as FedEx is concerned our health care is covering less and costing more because of Obama care so I will concede that we are worse off at FedEx than we were 5 years ago. I have read that UPS health insurance no longer covers spouses but I don't know that for a fact. The unions were backing Obummer all the way and Obama care is how he pays his debts to them.

I hope everyone likes the "change"... I personally think it sucks....but again FREEDOM of speech.

3. Libya, Egypt, now Syria just to name 3...Iran and Jordon will be next. It will be the "Christians and Israel" against the Muslim extremist, the stage is being set before our eyes. Your potus is replacing Arab leaders with extremist elements all around Israel. He dares mention bombing Syria after what he did to OUR Ambassador and 3 brave Americans, guess those boys weren't even worth one bombing run....REALLY??

I puke in my mouth when I hear the word Benghazi how the administration threw 4 brave Americans under the bus, two of which, disobeyed a direct order to stand down and they DIED doing their SWORN duty to protect REAL AMERICAN LIVES, not "interests". Under the ACA an insurance plan is considered sufficient if it gives at least 60% coverage. So it allowed employers, FedEx included, to save money by putting a greater burden on the employees. Here's the catch-22: employees are free to buy better coverage on their state's exchange(or the federal run exchange if the state doesn't have one). However it will cost more and if their employer offers a plan with at least 60% coverage then the employee can't get a gov't subsidy to lessen the cost of the more expensive gov't plans. Only the unemployed and the employed who don't have employer insurance(employer doesn't offer it) and are below income limits will get subsidies.

As for the rest, it's easy to turn this back on Republicans and treat us all like a bunch of ignorant crackers. But the truth is the Obama administration, along with fighting two expensive wars that the Bush administration got us into, has also greatly increased gov't bureaucracy, and spent billions on companies that also were major contributors to their campaigns. And spent billions propping up teachers and gov't unions. So much so that they spent considerably more in the first four years than Bush spent in 8. And Bush wasn't conservative in his spending, spent way too much too. If y'all would ever get past the partisan politics and just accept the facts as they are maybe you'd realize that the Republicans talk about Mom, country, and apple pie but they're really just greedy bastards appealing to a certain constituency for their votes. And Democrats can talk about social justice, saving the earth, diversity, etc but at the end of the day little changes. And they line their pockets while getting their constituencies votes. And we're all getting played. There's just too much money in this country and the folks in Washington are primarily concerned with coming up with creative ways to get their hooks in it.
