OH NOSES NOT DA CONTRACT

the point of the contract for start times is so that management cant do some wild :censored2: like change the start times in a way the inconveniences you or puts you in a disciplinary position

if it does neither, its not a big deal

It is a big deal. If the contract says there is more notice required it must be followed.

The contract is the final say.....period end of discusion.
Enforce the contract or management will try to :censored2: you every chance they get.

Management is about as useful as tits on a boar.

is it really that big a deal for you to just come in 15min later? did this schedule change disrupt your life or something?

Yes that 15 min would disrupt my life. I had to be at work early so couldn't pick up my son from daycare. My wife had to leave work early to accommodate my early start time UPS informed me about on Friday. Now that I have to start later my wife who has already canceled meeting to be able to pick up my son is now inconvenienced because of UPS poor planning.

My poor dog who I usually take for a long walk was cheated because I was under the impression I had to be at work at 1630. He now didn't get the proper exercise because of UPS poor planning.

My second job who I informed I couldn't work past 1600 because I had to get to my other job at UPS is upset with me but understand because I informed them on Friday. So now I've upset my other employer and lost a extra 15min of pay from them.

So yeah that 15 min can do a lot of damage. How about everyday I change your start time by plus of minus 15 min. Don't worry I'll be sure to call you the day of informing you of the change. That's the real reason it's in the contract because we already have to deal with different start times through out the week. I don't need my schedule to now be changed daily by 10 or 15 or 20 min.

ummm, the OP said they were asking to start 15 min later, not earlier. Did you notice everyone of your inconveniences were about an earlier start time?
