It is during this time of year that Jerusalem crickets appear in my area of California. Although I haven't seen one this year yet. Sometimes one will get in my house and make it's way to the cat bowl. They like dry cat food.
When I was a kid, I picked one up. It managed to turn it's head back 180* and bite my thumb. It very easily sliced through deep and I bled a surprising amount.
One year I caught two of them and put them in a terrarium. I gave them dry cat food and water. Things were peaceful and they got along well and didn't fight.
One day their legs got tangled up with each other (their legs are barbed) and they bit each-others legs off.

I think your information is wrong, Good Sir. A field cricket looks like the pic below. I’ve seen thousands of those. I don’t know why they have a pic of a mole cricket on their info.

Perhaps the info had the wrong picture. I stand corrected. Mole crickets are an invasive species, there’s a surprise, damage lawns.
