Personally, I'm of the opinion that UPS has been up to a BUNCH of shady stuff for so long that they see it's about to crash like Enron and nobody has the balls to just admit defeat. It doesn't help that the culture they maintain has weeded out everyone with the backbone and moral compass to even make that a possibility. Why bother with trivial things like employee morale, when you can use the onslaught of litigation suits to constantly cover up revenue numbers every quarter? Insurance company is getting the shaft, but they aren't likely to drop a $60 billion client. Let's be real.
