Yep, if you don’t push down on the brake far enough the car won’t go in gear . Have to go back to park & start over .. annoying AF... End up swearing at the windshield all friend-ing day long .

What does it do?

it leaves you motionless in the middle of the road trying to get reverse to engage to back into a driveway with traffic coming from both directions.

not dangerous at all.

This sounds like the manufacture put in a feature to protect the transmission.
