I agree. However, I did read snippets where some CC's credit hours were not being honored as transfer worthy to bigger Universities. I.e. Save parents some money by knocking out gen Ed requirements at a community college. Then transfer to Big U & cutting costs of 2 yrs. and finishing B.A.

My kids bought their books used online or rented them when possible.
and they change the books every year (even though the content remains the same) so your used books become worthless.

The problem comes when you get into specialty grad school stuff. My wife’s masters books were thousands each semester
renting is possibly communism. like a library.
