I agree but does that mean the employees who want to stay can't file over a sup working because another employee volunteered to leave early? If an hourly leaves on his own then he/she is not able to file a grievance.

Are you saying that when hourlies take off early when asked, that it is okay for sups to work and cannot be grieved? Doesn't sound right to me.

I have had plenty of people file on supervisors working and not one retaliated on yet.to the op tell the p/t sup he is not to perform bargaining unit work so he can't play dumb.then if it continues get p/t sup full name and document how long he worked,do all this with a witness preferably.file on it,u can always just ask that hourly be placed to perform the work on the first one kinda like a warning shot then hit em where it hurts

What a bummer for the p/t sups. If they had a union to back them, they could file a grievance against their full time sups for forcing them to do hourly work. The vast majority of PT sups do not want to perform hourly work. This is why they decided to make the move to mgt. They are being told to work by their FT sups.
While a PT Union hourly stands by watching. They call it training. What a bummer for the p/t sups. If they had a union to back them, they could file a grievance against their full time sups for forcing them to do hourly work.
