2013. The year we got TeamCare force fed. I remember the day the teamcare rep came to our local to sell their program since it hit the ground on the first cba vote. That very day Obama told Hoffa he didn't care if the IBT campaigned for him. Hoffa told him our healthcare would not be sustainable. Yep, I remember it well and Obama finally relented.Did you look at the date of the article. Guess they were a little off on their "the sky is falling".
Perhaps, just as a start, people with differing views on say, I don’t know, maybe an online forum like BC, might possibly discuss these views in a civil and polite fashion. Who knows, perhaps actually find some common ground on an issue and work from there.
...So what is the alternate?...
Two questions if you don't mind...Healthcare. Perfect example example of how all our manufactured infighting and outrage takes our eye off the ball. Almost every political discussion around healthcare focuses on shifting cost to some other group of people and not on the real problem that America pays so fantastical much more of GDP to healthcare than any other country on earth. But we just hurl insults at each other as we try to rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic.
Two questions if you don't mind...
#1. Is the AMA sub-par compared to other countries' medical abilities??
#2. Define the Titanic.
You're taking this forum way too seriously.Perhaps, just as a start, people with differing views on say, I don’t know, maybe an online forum like BC, might possibly discuss these views in a civil and polite fashion. Perhaps, and I know this will sound waaaaay out there, but just perhaps we could not view everyone on “The Other Side” as a monster to be defeated at all cost but rather as our neighbor, friend, and fellow countryman that deserves a right to be heard as much as we do.
I know, it’s a crazy idea. But think about this.. at some time in your life we have all been with a large group of people perhaps at a sporting event, or a concert, who knows.... and at some point something happens and the whole crowd goes wild. Think along lines of home team scoring the winning run or something. Your in that crowd all screaming and cheering as one.
Half those people are people you probably disagree with on political issues. But your cheering with them. Maybe they aren’t the monsters we made them out to be?

I don't really care what anyone else says.
It's just jousting and at times derived from the passion we've cultivated while surviving this work culture.
I've hurled a few well deserved insults at a few crooked LMs in a hearing from time to time but I've never set their car on fire. When we are fooling around about UPS work stuff I agree. When we start getting into political debates and start hurling insults at each other I believe that’s a symptom of huge divide in the nation which is leading to riots and looting in cities for crying out loud. I am not worried about who wins the election, I am worried about how we as a nation handle the outcome regardless of who wins.

With respect to rioting and looting, violence, etc...Typical scenarios on any online forum or comment section..
Red: “I have concerns over how a single payer system would work”.
Blue: “Why do you want to see poor people suffer and die? Your some kind of racist monster! You must be shamed and destroyed!”
Blue: “I don’t want to see people unable to obtain affordable healthcare”
Red: “Why do you want to take what I’ve worked so hard for and give it away lazy people who refuse to work? You must be branded as an Evil Socialist and destroyed!”
Rather quickly any kind of discussion on a political issue devolves into insults and demonizing. Everything quickly goes from discussion of facts and ideas to personal attacks.
With respect to rioting and looting, violence, etc...
Some people like that more than discussing issues and some are are paid to do it...
Lol, yes insults cause people to riot and loot. When we start getting into political debates and start hurling insults at each other I believe that’s a symptom of huge divide in the nation which is leading to riots and looting in cities for crying out loud.
This is a very telling statement because what Trump stands for is so much better for the members than Biden’s platform. The only unions that are going to endorse Trump are police unions.
Where they paid by the hour, plus whatever they managed to carry off....or just a straight salary? With respect to rioting and looting, violence, etc...

I believe Rand Paul was working on that info. More details to be presented.Where they paid by the hour, plus whatever they managed to carry off....or just a straight salary?
WTH!! Teamsters said the executive advisory board voted unanimously, I’d like to know how the members voted. I think that would tell a different story.
teamsters decide support democratic nominee who has a platform of strengthening and expanding unions as he believes unions built and are good for America. While union membership has beefed n cut in half under our current president. I am truly in shock.
How much of that 10 percent is public sector?Correction: Household Union membership in the US has declined from 20 % to 10 % from 1982 to 2020.
By the way how is your contract going?
