I think a lot of people pursue material wealth and possessions and then figure out on their own it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, that’s always the best way for people to learn you could never force and get a good outcomeI'm a big fan of fight club too, but Tyler was basically homeless, and preached a Zen Buddhist philosophy. I'm not saying any of it was wrong, but it all comes down to what you value. People ought to be free to pursue the things they find value in, with the understanding that resources are limited and most people have to make trade offs and can't have everything just as they want it. Hence the free market.
