I've tried the 3M N95 ones, which and without the air valve. The one with the valve is a bit better, but a lot of the air still gets trapped inside. It's dusty as hell inside those trailers.

ULine surgical masks. You can get ones that tie, ones with bands, etc. Water resistant and less than 3 microns. People use them when doing sterile work in front of flow hoods for microbiological purposes.
You're going to be breathing very hard though. Do you have respiratory issues? There's a few models I can recommend for heavy duty work, but they're super clunky despite being 2017.
