History has the habit of repeating itself.

Agreed, especially with old school idiot thinking demonstrated by Graham... Trump is not like him.

Lindsey Graham Says Only Possible Outcomes From Trump-Kim Talks Are 'Peace or War.' He's Wrong.

"Donald Trump is not going to capitulate," Graham concluded, "so there's really only two options—peace or war."

This is true in the strictest sense, of course, because the relationship between any two nations can be described as a state of peace or a state of war. But real life is hardly so binary, and those two outcomes exist at the extreme ends of a continuum with nearly limitless alternatives in between. Indeed, if the only two choices were "war" or "peace," we might have to be mobilizing for a conflict with Canada after the spat that has unfolded during the past two weeks between Trump and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. That obviously sounds absurd, and so does Graham's assessment of international relations.

In short, Trump has given peace a chance. Hopefully, he'll give it a second chance and a third one too, if necessary.

@Monkey Butt or @Old Man Jingles or whoever you are today, please take a few minutes and read this thread on Twitter:

Boy! What a hard hitting OPINION that fellas got! Have we been burned before? Sure. But this is different. Let's let this play out for a bit. Trump even said himself it could blow back in his face in six months. However, this feels good for the time being. Just give this man a chance. Stop listening to the MSM who have hated this man ever since he took down their Golden Girl.

A Reason/Heartland Institute opinion propaganda piece... Talk about a lowly source.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty contrasting compared to what is happening with Trump. Lindsey Graham needs to retire.

The US has been trying for years. The fact that there was never a photo op, that the leaders never met, what does that mean?

The hard work remains, but the president made headlines and for a reality tv guy, that’s all that really matters, right?
Not all.
Not everything is black or white (I won’t speak for @MAKAVELI).
This is not a binary world.
Was it important for Trump? Sure.
Would it be important for Obama? Sure.

Trump knows that if can’t deliver it will be a blot and negative against him.
