Yea it was only last year Matthew was just off our coast. We all just went through this a year ago. It's been a while since a storm hit. I think people forget.
Once huh? May I ask which storm?
The track we are seeing puts the eye a tad to the west of us which keeps the heavy eye wall winds west we will see the east side which is more rain and storm surge.
Did that do a lot of damage?Yea it was only last year Matthew was just off our coast. We all just went through this a year ago.
How many generators do you have? The track we are seeing puts the eye a tad to the west of us which keeps the heavy eye wall winds west we will see the east side which is more rain and storm surge.
Yes, but where do you keep it all? I have probably 200 gallons of water.I've never had to keep water a long time. Won't it last through a hurricane season though?
No, none but that was cause it took a slight wobble to the east, but it could've.Did that do a lot of damage?
Do you just keep rotating it? I had nowhere near that much.Yes, but where do you keep it all? I have probably 200 gallons of water.
I have one that will run most everything except the a/c and stove, but I have a small room unit for that. As long as the bedroom is cool that's good enough for me.How many generators do you have?
I could I guess it just gets to be a pita I just stock up at the first sign of trouble.Do you just keep rotating it? I had nowhere near that much.
Better too much than not enough.I could I guess it just gets to be a pita I just stock up at the first sign of trouble.
That's how I feel. Usually after these things the water is a big issue for drinking. I've been through Francis,Jean and Wilma the first two I was only powerless for a few days , but Wilma I was down for two and a half weeks.Better too much than not enough.
I don't know about that. I think I'd take my chances on land, even a shelter if I couldn't leave.Honestly? if they have the fuel to ride it out that is the best way to do it as long as it's in the intercoastal. Tide to a dock is game over.

I'm a long way from the beach. He should be fine they have only called for evac for mobile homes around here besides everything east of the intercoastal. Belle Glade is a total evac due to the low income and old house's not able to withstand the storm winds.I don't know how far from the beach you are, but I'm worried about my BIL in PBG. He isn't far from the beach, and has a canal behind his townhouse.
I hope you're protected by Smith and Wesson. That's how I feel. Usually after these things the water is a big issue for drinking. I've been through Francis,Jean and Wilma the first two I was only powerless for a few days , but Wilma I was down for two and a half weeks.
Right, but maybe this guys boat isn't insured who knows. It is just better to ride it out with your bow into the waves in the intercoastal or even one of the side canals then to be anchored or roped up to a dock. They all get screwed up tied to the dockI don't know about that. I think I'd take my chances on land, even a shelter if I couldn't leave.
Actually it's an Springfield XD 45I hope you're protected by Smith and Wesson.
Long enough to fill up.
