I give the shipper the service level that they paid for. Three attempts, no more, no less. A couple times I have even affixed the call tags to the empty boxes and sent them their cardboard back.
Oh definitely, it doesn't matter to me if its a waste of their time... I'm paid by the minute. Those minutes add up and turn into overtime and 9.5 grievances. Since I can't get home at a decent hour, then I will be about the money then.
