Do tell. Is the pro-22.4 crowd narrative that the Company is implementing 22.4s to be good to their RPCDs and not to minimize the delivery cost structure?
22.4 are to Ultimately run 7 days a week operation. pick ups and deliveries.

RPCDs can’t be laid off if any 22.4s are working. And 22.4s have a 40 hour guarantee.

You satisfy both of those conditions by maxing out 22.4 hours on weekends and then not using them on the days RPCD routes are cut as a result.

If volume is advanced, then work was available on Monday. Once implemented across the country, weekend pick ups will be delivered Monday and during the week.

It would already be saving them money working them Saturday over us on Monday.

Your logic is they would make 51 on Saturday. Ok well we would make 62 on Monday.
No, working 2 about 8 hours instead of 12 on Saturday. Would save them money. Gives you one route on Monday @ straight time.

In a perfect world maybe but at UPS they need to make routes pay. Also on Mondays you have pick ups unlike on Saturdays. So you need to cut even more out to make time for those routes with pick ups.
