We do , but 22.4 don't . There is no language for them so ups could lay them off Tuesday thought Friday and there is nothing that can do aboutAlways was...but now we have the "when work is available" loophole.
Isn't RPCD guarantee 8hrs a day and 5 days a week

Not exactly. If you are on the schedule, you get your guarantee. They could schedule you laid off on just Monday if they wanted to, but that brings up the problem...it will put more RPCDs in jeopardy of the Monday layoff while over the weekend 22.4s deliver that, what would be, Monday volume. Lower seniority, lower paid drivers! You don’t have daily layoffs?

Then can you explain the last two sentence on the second paragraph the part that say when work is availableNo they couldn't because they have to give them 5 consecutive working days.
NorCalWhat supplement are you under if you don't mind me asking.

You sure , It says combination not RPCDThat language is for RPCDs only.
22.4s do not have the language "when work is available."
I believe jaker is referring to this line...which is not "when."That language is for RPCDs only.
22.4s do not have the language "when work is available."
That's referring to combining driving work with preload or local sort, etc... in order to give them at least their guaranteed 8 hr. day.You sure , It says combination not RPCD

Glad you posted it, I was looking to get that up here. When you combine this language with the 22.4 language, it all becomes very clear how it will be used!22.4 are FT combo jobs. Just like a 22.3 is a FT combo job
This is the language with the "as long as work is available" it's for RPCDs only.

Just after that bad news sinks in, you realize you have to cover 3 routes worth of pickups and all of their pickup times overlap. Happened to me every time they eliminated a route in my loop.
Sounds like there’s going to be some insane business routes on Monday. Like 2-3 routes combined of just business with 8:15 start times. That won’t be stressful at all.
You guys stress out way too much.Just after that bad news sinks in, you realize you have to cover 3 routes worth of pickups and all of their pickup times overlap. Happened to me every time they eliminated a route in my loop.
Splain'?this is a hot issues , but do you really think there won't be any work to where they are laying off RPCD
